2025 was a year full of challenges, new challenges, and gratitude; it was a year where we can thank the Lord for the amount of blessings and news that motivate us to persevere in mission with God. We recognize the works that He is doing in different cities and by the willingness of each person to commit to sharing the Gospel in different university contexts.

Study of the Book of Romans

Each year, a book of the Bible is chosen and studied in local events such as the National Camp and the EFE (Student Leadership Training). This year it was Romans, and it was a great help for the University Groups in the different universities where Cecenianos are present. It was truly challenging for each student to realize that by the grace of the Lord we are saved; nothing can separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:39). Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more (Romans 5:20), and more.

Theme 2025: Truly Human

The theme that guided us in 2025 was “Truly Human,” which expresses Christ’s teaching on how to live with our neighbor on earth, showing in His life the perfect example of what it means to be a human being. We were encouraged to be missionaries within the university, reminding ourselves that everyone needs to hear about Jesus and that the gospel has the power to transform lives (Romans 1:16). This book helps us see that God uses ordinary people, like you and me, to carry His message, and that our classmates will not know Christ if no one shares Him with them (Romans 10:14).

Key Learnings

Our greatest learnings as a community can be described in six words:

  • Humility: Romans showed us that we are all equal and in need of God’s grace.
  • Identity: We learned that being “truly human” means living from grace and not from guilt.
  • Transformation: We understood that God renews us every day and that growth is a shared process.
  • Community: We discovered that we do not walk alone; each one contributes something valuable to the body of Christ.
  • Real Love: We learned to love sincerely, practically, and patiently.
  • Hope: Romans taught us to trust God even in pain, knowing that He works for good.
